Dear blessed friends of St.Mina's Home, Thank you for your continuous prayers, support and assistance to the children and the Home. Thank you to all volunteers who have put a big smile on our children's faces. Thank you to everyone who have contributed to the container which has helped us in accomodating more children, furnishing the Home and St. Mina's chapel. We are blessed to be accomodating 20 blessed girls and boys. Wishing you a blessed and joyful new year and please keep us in your prayers smile emoticon |

On 3rd December, we had the first Residential Children's Sports Day organized by the Ministry of Women, Children and Poverty Alleviation, Fiji. The event was organized for the all the children's homes in Fiji. In the day we had the sports event and at night, it was the social/ Christmas dinner night which was filled with heaps of fun and entertainment for the children. Our children performed for the first time, we sang "Mary's Boy child" and "Little Baby Jesus" at the social night. We got 2nd place in the sports event. It was so beautiful to see all the children enjoying and having fun. It was a day filled with laughter and joy.The kids loved it. Thank you to God,the Department, staff and volunteers for making it happen ! |

The Ministry of women, children and poverty alleviation organised a sports day at mount Saint Mary's grounds for the underprivileged children who reside in these homes for Kids.7 homes within Viti Levu are participated in the event. Altogether 57 children and 30 caregivers enjoyed the day.The Senior Welfare officer South West sent a request letter and the hotel partnered in donating trophies. 7 trophies was donated by resort towards the games. A fun day indeed. many thanks to our valued guests whose donations allow us to assist these homes. VINAKA |

Yesterday we attended the quarterly forum meeting for residential homes with the ministry. We were advised to prepare for an upcoming drought (Please see attached from FBC news). _An electricity generator and a water tank were deemed necessary. Thank God we were blessed with the generator in the container shipped from Melbourne, however we are in need of a water tank. If you wish to contribute towards this, we request that you type 'water tank' in the donation description to either of the specified Accounts. God bless! |

To create awareness and support for the Home in Fiji, our volunteer Vivian started this project of placing St. Mina's Home tins at restaurants, cafes and supermarkets around Denarau and Nadi. If you have ideas to create awareness, we would love to hear from you! |

Dear Friends of St.Mina's Home,
Every year, we have a residential audit in December and June by the Department of Social Welfare to assess if the Home is complying with the minimum standards of Residential Homes set by the department in terms of facilities,safety, caring for the children at the home. We are then ranked among the other 8 Children's Homes in Fiji.
We received our audit results for December and we got top equal of 92% compliance.

Dear Friends of St. Mina Children's Home, We are blessed to have 16 beautiful girls and boys. Since we have started,we have had 10 volunteers who have given their time and effort to make a difference to the children's lives. We currently have 10 full time employees at the Home who are dedicated to the children. We have also had 3 mission trips visit the Home from the Coptic Orthodox Church in America, Melbourne and Sydney.Please continue to pray for us and this much needed service in Fiji. May God bless your love and support to this blessed service! |
